23rd World UIA Forum of mediation centers in POLAND, KRAKOW.

The 23rd UIA World Forum Mediation Centers, organized in POLAND, in KRAKOW, has been a success.

About 50 participants, mediators, lawyers, businessmen/women, teachers, coming from more than 15 countries in various continents (US, Africa, China, Australia) have worked during 2 days on mediation, their practice, intercultural mediation, consumer mediation, development of Med-Arb, the practice of caucus, mediation with interpreters, mediation with vulnerable parties, mediation in hospital, practice of mediation in international association.

As president of the Forum, Fabienne van der Vleugel may say that this UIA event is a unique opportunity to develop your network, ameliorate your professional practice and make more dynamic the mediation you organize.

Next FORUM will take place in OCTOBER 2017 in SINGAPORE!

The article published in JURISTE (2016, N°4, pages 11-12) summarizes the 23rd World Forum of mediation centers organized end January 2017 in KRAKOW, Poland.

The formal audience of the Regional Court of Meaux (in French, Tribunal de Grande Instance), has taken place in the Courthouse of Meaux this 20th January 2017.
This year, again, a very detailed summary of the preceding year has been given by the Regional Court, not only about the civil proceedings, but also the criminal ones (number of new files, number of files under course, duration of treatment, number of files duly handled and closed).
Such formal audience is, without any doubt, the opportunity to think about what has been done during the preceding year, and begin the new judicial year being ensured about the important work that is deployed and that is still continuously developed by all law professionals, the various legal players, the attorneys at law and the judges.

The dinner organized by the CEVE (in French, Club des Entrepreneurs du Val d’Europe), preceded by an extraordinary members’ meeting took place in MAGNY LE HONGRE, at the EXPLORER’s Hotel.

More than 100 members participated to the event.

Until late at the evening, members could evoke last year, speak about their respective professional activities to develop this new year 2017. This event participates to the unique and specific dynamic of the territory Val d’Europe and will remain unforgettable.

Formal audience of the Commercial Court of Meaux.

The formal audience of the Commercial Court of Meaux, with M. Patrick Lenormant, President, remains an important part of the judicial calendar in Meaux.

This year, again, a very detailed summary of the preceding year has been given by the Court.

So, in 2016, an increasing number of incorporation of French companies, in the North of our department Seine et Marne is the concrete proof that our territory is very much appreciated by the managers.

However, there is still a large number of collective judicial proceedings and closing of companies.

So, this year, the President of the Commercial Court of Meaux has announced the incorporation of a new association called, in French, APESA (which stands for, in French, “Aide Psychologique aux Entrepreneurs en Souffrance Aigüe”, meaning : psychological help for entrepreneurs suffering from acute psychological difficulties), with the partnership of the Commercial Court of MELUN.

During this audience, it has also been reminded the importance for the managers to deposit their annual accounts to the Registrar of the Commercial Court.
