The first breakfast meeting VDV of 2014 will be dedicated to the commercial lease: how is the commercial lease negotiated? what if the rent is not paid? what are the actions to be triggered by the lessor? what if some works must be done in the premises?
Those are some of the questions that will be discussed during the January 31th VDV breakfast meeting.
Upon request of the Mediation School of Paris Bar, and together with M. Daniel TRICOT, Fabienne van der Vleugel has presented the seminar "Corporate social responsability and mediation".
This interactive 2-hour working session was one of the last sessions organized by the Mediation School of Paris Bar for the very first 2013 promotion of the School.
Indeed, the complete program includes other working sessions and constitue a large, complete and intensive program developped by the Mediation School of Paris Bar for lawyers who are willing to be trained to the mediation.

This conference unveils the NEW ICC MEDIATION RULES and has provided to its participants with an understanding of the nature, purpose and operation of the new Rules prior to their entry into force on 1st January 2014.
"The ICC Mediation Rules are the result of work conducted by a Task Force of mediation and dispute resolution specialists from 29 countries Under the auspices of the Commission on Arbitration and ADR, ICC's rule-making and research body.
The Rules will be administered by the ICC International Centre for ADR. They replace the ICC ADR RULES, which have been used for amicable dispute resolution since 2001" (description of the conference by ICC).
Various topics have been developped, notably : "The relevance of mediation to businesses today", "Overview of the Mediation Rules and their genesis", "Initiating proceedings under the Mediation Rules", "ICC's role in finding a fitting mediator for the dispute", "Practice tips for conducting meidation proceedings".

This was an excellent and very dynamic meeting, permitting managers to get ideas in order to develop efficiency, to ameliorate the entreprise's dynamic, to master one's competence, and to go on despite the economic difficulties.
