7th ICC International commercial mediation competition in Paris.

The ICC International Commercial Mediation Competition is the most prestigious international event organized in the the mediation field.

Fabienne van der Vleugel has again activley participated to this 7th competition.

This year, the South Texas College of Law (USA) came in first, before the Bar Ilan University (Israel). Both teams participated to the FINALE which was of an exellent level.

Fabienne van der Vleugel was one fo the three judges of this FINALE together with Alan LIMBURY (Australia, Strategic Resolution) and Ronald AUSTIN (France, Clifford Chance). The FINALE was mediated by Geoff SHARP (New Zealand, Sharp Commercial Mediation).

Fabienne van der Vleugel was also honoured to participate to the Competition Problems Working Group and authored the text "ETHAJAC CREAM" which has been chosen by ICC for the quarter-final rounds.

In 2012, 66 teams from 32 countries participate to the ICC Competition.

During 5 days, students are testing their skills to solve business problèms created by the Competition Problems Working Group gathering international mediation experts. Professional mediators are mediating the preliminary rounds, the eight, quarter, semi-final rounds, and the finale.

During this prestigious event, students are testing their hability to efficiently use mediation. They ameliorate their expertise, meet professionnals and students from all over the world, and have the opportunity to meet with leading international commercial médiators.

Certificate specialization in company law.

A certificate of specialization may only be delivered to an attorney at law admitted to practice in France if (i) he/she has a professional practice of at least 4 years (ii) he/she successfully passes an exam before a jury composed of, notably, a University teacher and a judge, and (iii) he/she may proof, each year, a continuous training program in the specialization.

A certificate of specialization in COMPANY LAW has been delivered to Fabienne van der Vleugel on 7th December 2011 by the President of the Board of Directors of the Paris Bar School (the so-called, in French, Ecole de Formation du Barreau).

Professional mediator diploma CAP’M®.

Fabienne van der Vleugel has been granted the certificate of professional mediator delivered by the EPMN (so-called in French, Ecole Professionnelle de la Médiation et la Négociation).
