Confidentiality constitues a fundamental principle of the process of mediation. This alternative dispute resolution differs from the judicial proceedings. During a trial, the parties must communicate all documents and the debates are mostly public. During a mediation, the whole process remains confidential.
During a mediation, parties in conflict are negotiating in the presence of the mediator, with a total confidentiality.
